Myricetin, also known as myricetin and myriceflavone, is a flavonol compound extracted from the bark of Myriceaceae plants. Bayberry is one of the subtropical fruit trees originating in China, with a history of more than 7000 years of wild growth and more than 2000 years of artificial cultivation. In East China, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and other regions, there are extremely rich resources of Waxberry bark. After pruning and discarded waxberry branches, it can be used as a large number of long-term plant sources. However, due to the extraction technology and other reasons, the current research on myricetin mainly comes from rattan tea, but very little from myricetin. However, dihydromyricetin is mainly obtained from rattan tea and the resources are limited, so there are some limitations to the long-term development and utilization of myricetin.
